You can check a Bitcoin transaction through a Bitcoin Explorer: paste the transaction hash (TxID) to see the status, number of confirmations, fee, inputs and outputs.
Where to find the Bitcoin transaction hash
The TxID appears in your wallet or service after sending and consists of 64 hexadecimal characters.
How to check a Bitcoin transaction by TxID
- Copy the TxID without spaces.
- Open a Bitcoin explorer.
- Paste the hash into the search.
- Check the status and number of confirmations.
What confirmations and fee mean
A confirmation appears after the transaction is included in a block. The required number of confirmations is set by the receiving service. The fee affects priority but does not guarantee a precise inclusion time.
If the transaction is not found
Check the TxID, the selected network and that the broadcast was completed. A new transaction may appear with a delay; the absence of a record should not be treated as proof of lost funds.
